Stefano's pizzeria and caffeteria is autentico Italiano pizza
farcela per amore - or for those not fluent in Italian, it is
authentic Italian pizza made with love.
Stefano's opened on September 15 at the top of the state cinema
building, central Nelson, in the space once occupied by Metro cafe.
Owner Stefano Bonazza took over the premises at the start of July
and has gone out of his way to create an authentic Italian experience
in the heart of Nelson.
The renovations cost "thousands of dollars'' with the special
stone oven alone costing $35,000.
Bonazza has brought in Italian expertise in friend and expert
pizzaiolo (pizza maker) Paolo Schiavo who came to Nelson from Padua
