Chino makes way for new City Hall

CHINO - The former City Hall will be demolished in August as part of a series of changes this summer to accommodate growth.

The building, which now serves as the city's Community Services Department, will be knocked down to make way for a larger, 20,000- square-foot building. It is across Central Avenue from the current City Hall.

While the building is being constructed, department staff will move into a former doughnut shop across from City Hall at D and Seventh streets.

At the same time, the basement of the existing City Hall is being renovated to add 24 cubicles for more city employees.
