Article: San Dimas residents celebrate 45 years as a city

They ran out of food, but not fun at the city of San Dimas' 45th annual birthday bash.

"It just keeps getting bigger and better," Mayor Curt Morris proudly commented as he surveyed thousands of San Dimas citizens crowded into the Civic Center Plaza and Park on Aug. 2.

There was no way Scott Dilley, co-owner of Sanders Towing and general chairman of the event co-sponsored by the city of San Dimas and the San Dimas Chamber of Commerce, could anticipate the spillover numbers at the annual celebration of the city's 1960 incorporation.
