PEDLEY - An unidentified man died Friday afternoon when his car
was struck by a Metrolink passenger train.
Riverside County Fire personnel were called to an accident
involving a Metrolink train and a compact car at 3:20 p.m. in the
area of Clay Street and Van Buren Boulevard, said fire Capt. Jackie
Williams.
When they arrived, they found one adult male inside a black Honda,
she said.
Personnel from the ambulance company American Medical Response
pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The fire department immediately sent five ambulances, four
engines, one truck and one battalion chief, Williams said.
