Friends are known to be there in times of need; those who have
them are lucky, and in this case, the Corona Public Library is lucky.
The purpose of Friends is to enhance the library, its collection
and the programming that goes on in the library,'' said Richard
Bensiek, president of Friends of the Corona Library. Friends spends
$100,000 a year doing just that.''
In 1964, Dina Stallings taught a children's literature class to
young mothers at the Carnegie Library in Corona. The class trained
the mothers to teach their children about the importance of reading
