Plane crash kills three in Big Bear Lake

BIG BEAR LAKE - Three people were killed Tuesday after their twin- engine Cessna crashed and burst into flames on the shore of Big Bear Lake.

Investigators with the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board combed through the wreckage which lay at the shoreline near Boulder Bay on the south side of the lake.

The bodies were removed late Tuesday but the identities were not released. At least one of the victims was a resident of the Big Bear Lake area, a family member said.
