CLAREMONT - Claremont High was surrounded by police - armed with cameras and high-tech computers - preparing Thursday for that remote chance a Columbine-style disaster might happen there.

The school is the first in Southern California to have virtually every inch logged in a computer so should such an incident occur emergency personnel will be prepared.

Gary D. Sabol, spokesman for Prepared Response, said a National Institute of Justice grant funded the crisis management system for police.
