Three cheeky smiles from three talented boys - it's a picture
which sums up the charm of one of the area's longest-established and
most popular events.
Now in its 83rd year, the Aberdeen and North East of Scotland
Music Festival is a superb showcase for the musical and verse skills
of the young and young-at- heart.
These lads from Aberdeen's Hamilton School were taking part in the
solo verse section for eight to nine-years-olds.
There have been a whopping 2,000 entries for this year's festival,
all the way from Forres in the north to Arbroath in the south.
Among those taking their places on the platform today were all 100-
plus boys and girls from Upper Westfield Primary in Bridge of Don.
