Police investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann have a
second suspect, according to reports.
The man, in his 30s, has been under surveillance for weeks,
reports say.
He has not been named but sources have reportedly called the
operation a "major development".
News of the second suspect comes after police called off a search
at the Portugal home of prime suspect Robert Murat.
Up to 12 police officers, including two from Britain, searched the
inside and outside of Mr Murat's Praia da Luz villa on Saturday and
yesterday.
Police did not reveal if anything had been discovered, and Mr
Murat, who was in the house at the time with his lawyer, was not
arrested.
