At Aberdeen Sheriff Court he admitted the offence and one of breaking the peace.

McPhail, 63, acted in a racially aggravated manner, which caused or was intended to cause alarm or distress to Mr Lassoued at the Spice Shop, 534 George Street, Aberdeen.

The charge states he made a racial remark, struggled with Mr Lassoued and threatened him with violence.
