Joe Crede saved the day Tuesday, just a little too late to help
staff ace Mark Buehrle.
Crede gave the White Sox an 8-4 victory with a grand slam against
the Toronto Blue Jays' Felix Heredia in the 10th inning, one inning
after sending it into extra innings with a two-run home run in the
ninth.
It was the kind of coming-out party the Sox were looking for from
their rookie third baseman, but the soft-spoken Crede was taking his
seven-RBI night in stride.
"There are many ways you can look at it," Crede said after taking
a shaving-cream pie in the face during a postgame television
