Mayor Daley on Wednesday urged Chicago neighborhoods victimized by
prostitutes to get the names and addresses of their customers and
write letters, ratting them out to their wives and employers.
The mayor turned the spotlight on johns as the City Council's
Police Committee agreed to make the world's oldest profession one of
the world's most expensive in Chicago by doubling the fines.
A former prosecutor, Daley climbed aboard the anti-prostitution
bandwagon that rolled out of the Police Committee and upped the ante.
He urged residents of Bucktown, Wicker Park and other
neighborhoods under siege by hookers to unleash their anger against
the customers.
