Article: Fundraising fun day at city's pet rescue centre

Dogs and their owners will be learning how to shake a tail feather at a rescue centre fund-raiser.

Tango for pooches and agility and obedience displays are just some of the activities on offer at the Bath Cats and Dogs Home annual open day

Bath residents will be treated to music, barbecues and dancing dog lessons at the event on Sunday, September 2.

In its biggest fundraising event of the year, the home will be opening the doors of its Claverton Down site to raise money for the 3,000 dogs, cats and small animals it provides shelter for each year.

Last year's event welcomed more than 4,000 people and their four- legged friends, and total donations reached more than pounds18,500.
