Veteran decathlete Nick Walker had a busy day at the national Masters Athletic Championships in Birmingham.

He added to his medal collection by winning silver in the pole vault with a three metre clearance.

Walker (left) was fourth in the discus with 30.98m and sixth in the long jump with 5.42m.

Severn club-mate Sandra Brown won her first series title when she topped the overall ladies veterans 45-49 age group in the Bristol Shortwood 5k.

In the Eastville 3x1 Road Relays, Severn finished fourth out of 20 teams while their mixed team were third in their category.
