The best fish landed at Blithfield Reservoir this week was a 4lb
8oz rainbow trout, caught by David Jackson, of Stoke.
There were 40 fish caught in all, with a rod average of 2.3, and
the best bank areas were 10-acre, Old Man's and Boat House Bay, where
there have been good signs of fish chasing fry into the banks.
Large brown trout have been showing in Boat House Bay.
The best boat areas are Causeway, Watery Lane and either side of
the bridge hole.
The coarse lake at Press Manor Fishery, near Chesterfield, is
still providing fine sport, with good weights for hobby anglers and
matchmen alike.
