Padbrook Park re-wrote the club's record books with a thumping 4-
1 victory over Dinnaton in the first round of the Palairet Memorial
Trophy.
The victory at Churston was the biggest winning margin ever
achieved by the Cullompton club as they reached the second round of
the DCGU inter-club knockout event for the second time in a row.
And the result was all the more impressive as the Padbrook players
had to concede shots in all five matches.
With the wind making the front nine considerably easier to play
than the back nine, only Cameron Bundy and Mike Partridge were
comfortably ahead at the turn - and that was despite a disastrous
start as they lost the first hole.
