John Bateman looked down at Wrigley Field from a Waveland Avenue rooftop and smiled.

'I don't think they should change a single thing," he said.

Bateman and his colleague, Chip Callahan, were visiting Chicago from Philadelphia on business. Neither had been to Wrigley Field before, and both wanted to experience their first Cubs game from a rooftop. They picked a perfect August day last week, featuring afternoon sun mixed with clouds and breeze.

"I've been dying to see a Cubs game," Callahan said. "But if I just had a ticket for the game, I'd rather have stayed in the office and worked. The rooftops are like the ivy--they're part of the tradition of Wrigley."
