Damien Hirst has launched his latest bid to save Toddington Manor.

The controversial artist bought the crumbling 19th century manor near Winchcombe in 2005 and began renovating it in 2006.

Now he wants to tackle one of the reasons why it got into such a poor state of repair - its leaking roof.

In particular, he wants to be able to stop the rain getting into what is known as the 'link building'.

A planning application has been submitted to Tewkesbury Borough Council to replace the slate on its roof with lead.
