Around 12 to 15 years ago, Norman Coffey, of Stallingborough, cleared the shop and house of Mrs Winnie Gardner after her death.

The shop was a fishmongers which was situated at 139 Corporation Road, Grimsby, and was run by Winnie and her husband George.

Norman told us: "Winnie never threw anything away, the house was full.

"During the clearance, I collected all the interesting paperwork and it soon made a good pile.

"Winnie had a brother. I don't know his first name but his surname was Hull.

"Among Winnie's effects was a photograph of him and some accompanying paperwork.

"The paperwork said that he went to Wintringham School, during which time he was in the Army cadets.
