As a person living within the council's latest drive to keep
people's cars off the streets and in car parks, I would like to
question as to how the council can justify a move that impacts most
on the people with the least money.
Lets face it, those of us buying and generally living in flats
would love to live in houses with drives and off-road parking. Plus
those of us working on minimum wage - quite often in Torquay - will
find the council's request for additional funds for a parking permit,
just one step too far.
We are already burdened by a council tax that is far too
