Exeter's bid for home rule should not impact on services in
Teignbridge, says the council leader.
His comments were made after a leaked document warned more than 83
per cent of individuals and organisations affected were 'broadly
against' the city's bid for independence from Devon.
Teignbridge Council leader councillor Alan Connett said: "We have
said we have no objections to Exeter's aspiration for self-
government. However we want to be absolutely certain there will be no
impact on council tax payers in Teignbridge, there will be no change
to the boundaries of Exeter and Teignbridge and we want assurance of
no detrimental changes to the working ...
