A sacked Torbay Council employee has accused the authority of
using her as a 'scapegoat'.
Former payroll manager Rosemary Finnie spoke out about her part in
the lost CD fiasco, for which she was dismissed on Friday.
She says she created the two discs containing the personal
information and payroll details of 6,500 past and present council
staff, both of which she believes have been lost in the post.
The Paignton mum-of-two was also blamed by the authority after it
admitted 'chronic failure' for not passing on information about
apprentices on the minimum wage when required by Her Majesty's
Revenue and Customs last year.
Rosemary, 37, admits some failings on her part, but feels both
