Members of the Rotary Club of Babbacombe and St Marychurch and
their wives have recently returned from a visit to Sligo in Ireland.
They received a warm welcome from the mayor of the picturesque
city and the Sligo Rotary Club at the ancient Eire Town Hall.
Welcoming the group, the mayor, Cllr Jonathan McGoldrick, said how
pleased he was to see such an important group visiting their city
from Torquay, a town that he knew was an 'outstandingly beautiful'
area and, hoped it would be the first of many visits.
Rotarian Richard Hopkins, the immediate past president of the
Rotary Club of Babbacombe and St Marychurch, presented the mayor with
a limited edition picture of Thatcher Rock painted by ...
