Bradleys' director for the Torbay area Jon Williams said: "There is no doubt that there was a 20 to 30 per cent drop in the number of four-bedroom homes coming on to the market in August.

"But now the dust has settled after all the initial panic. It caused a bit of a hiccup, but how much you put that down to HIPs or other market factors it's difficult to tell.
