Patients have given a vote of confidence about the doctors, nurses
and overall care provided at Staffordshire General and Cannock Chase
hospitals.
Ninety per cent said the care they received was "good" or
"better", with 42 per cent rating it as "excellent".
And the ambulance crews were rated in the top 20 per cent in the
country, for being "reassuring" and explaining care and treatment.
Those were among the findings of a survey of inpatients, published
by the Healthcare Commission.
The response rate by the Mid Staffordshire Hospitals Trust's
patients to the survey was well above average.
A total of 488 patients answered the question: "Overall, how would
you rate the care you received?"
