LEWISTON - La Rencontre will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday May 5, at the Franco-American Heritage Center, 46 Cedar St.

The monthly gathering will feature Rhea Cote Robbins, who will talk about the Franco-American Women's Institute, as well as discuss her exhibition on "Maman Disait."

"This show is not simply an exercise in nostalgia, but how I choose to reclaim for myself the proverbs, and to give meaning to them as I see them, part of the everyday magic of life," said Cote.
