LEWISTON - Beatrice (Bea) Evelyn (Marston) Phillips of Auburn, passed away June 11, after a short stay at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born April 28, 1924, to Charles and Alice Marston in Rockport. She grew up the middle child of five and graduated from Rockport High School in 1942, where she was a member of the basketball team. She then moved to Whitinsville, Mass., where she worked in the machine shop making munitions for the war effort.

She moved back to Rockport in 1945, and married Malcolm (Mac) H. Phillips on Dec. 1, 1945. Together they built a home and a family, raising a daughter and a son in Rockport. She and her family moved to Auburn in 1959, and then to New Gloucester in ...
