LEWISTON - Pop music will play a pretty important part in a
special multicultural music event tonigh.
Four Somali pop musicians will join a top New England DJ for a
night of music and dancing at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center.
"We have such a growing, diverse community it Lewiston-Auburn,
we'd like to help make locals and immigrants more aware of each
other," Ahmed said. "Music is sometimes the best way to do that."
The show will feature American pop music, played by DJ Biggie,
popular around New England. He'll be joined by four Somali pop
artists - two national favorites and two locals.
Tickets for the show are $10. Doors at the Multi-Purpose Center
