River Bluffs Regional Library Director Dorothy Elliott was put on
unpaid leave in an 8-to-6 vote at a joint library board meeting
Thursday night.
All eight members present from the St. Joseph board voted for the
unpaid leave, and six of the eight members on the Rolling Hills board
voted no. The other two Rolling Hills members voted to pass.
The board didn't set a time frame for the unpaid leave to end.
While on unpaid leave, Ms. Elliott will be able to draw on her unused
vacation time, said Bob Barnard, president of the joint committee.
The joint committee put Ms. Elliott on 30 days administrative paid
leave in December in an 11-3 vote.
Ms. Elliott didn't attend the board meeting.
