Jeff Carpenter can't wait for the rematch with Galen Brown.
In what was the best fight of the Rob Calloway undercard Friday
night at St. Joseph Civic Arena, Brown won a majority decision over
Carpenter in a six-round match.
Two costly errors keyed Brown's victory.
The referee warned Carpenter about a low blow in the fifth round,
and with less than 10 seconds remaining in the sixth and final round,
the referee advised the judges to take away a point from Carpenter
after he hit Brown after the break.
"My plan was to stay away, keep him off," said Brown, who moves to
3-0 after the win. "I wanted to have him stay off my body."
