Article: Brown's majority decision has Carpenter talking rematch

Jeff Carpenter can't wait for the rematch with Galen Brown.

In what was the best fight of the Rob Calloway undercard Friday night at St. Joseph Civic Arena, Brown won a majority decision over Carpenter in a six-round match.

Two costly errors keyed Brown's victory.

The referee warned Carpenter about a low blow in the fifth round, and with less than 10 seconds remaining in the sixth and final round, the referee advised the judges to take away a point from Carpenter after he hit Brown after the break.

"My plan was to stay away, keep him off," said Brown, who moves to 3-0 after the win. "I wanted to have him stay off my body."
