Western appointment
expected next week
Missouri Western State College President Dr. James Scanlon plans
to announce his choice for vice president for financial planning and
administration early next week.
The original 35 candidates were narrowed to three. Those three
recently were interviewed on campus.
The finalists include Rick Gilmore, who is serving as Western's
interim vice president of administration; Ron Olinger, vice president
for finances for Research Seeds Inc. in St. Joseph; and Richard
Sutherland, vice president of Alpena Community College in Alpena,
Mich.
The position was created after several upper-tier retirements at
Missouri Western led to the rearranging of top posts.
