Article: Raw food diet more than just fruits and nuts

Patty Jagodzinski eats with her hands. And sometimes she completely throws convention to the wayside and licks her plate.

For three years, more than 95 percent of her diet has been made up of raw food - leafy greens, vegetables, sprouts, nuts and fruits.

Her small frame has become thin - some would say skinny.

"I had to get used to looking at my skinny face in the mirror," Mrs. Jagodzinski says. "At first - I didn't like what I saw. Others were very concerned.

"Now, I like what I see, although the skinny part goes against something I've learned in this culture - that a nice filled out face is healthy."
