We've seen
presidents lie. We've seen welfare cheats. We've seen corporations
steal.
Small wonder that many people like Joyce Schoeneck believe our
country navigates along today without a moral compass. In 91 years,
she feels she's watched the gradual decline of morality in our
society.
"Society is getting more immoral. More people living together, not
getting married anymore. It used to be looked down upon, it isn't
anymore," she says.
Jane Pertain says that in the past 50 years she too has seen a
decline in moral behavior.
"We certainly talk more about it now," Ms. Pertain says. "I think
there was cheating years ago, but with more people, there's more
publicity."
