Although the recent cold spell has kept many ice-cream lovers from
enjoying their favorite treat, the hot and humid temperatures of
summer are sure to bring them back. But customers could be paying a
little more the next time they buy a cone.
"We are getting ready to raise our prices a little," said Patricia
Ashlock, who owns three area Dairy Queen stores along with her
husband, Tom. "I hate to do it to our customers, but you have to do
it."
Dairy Queen has already absorbed three price increases from its
suppliers since February and now has to pass the cost on to its
customers, Mrs. Ashlock said.
