I'll admit it.
I'm one of the six - make that five - Chicago White Sox fans in
existence.
Hold your laughter, please.
I'm a Chicago native, and I'm still recovering from the ninth-
inning meltdown the White Sox had on Opening Day last Monday.
That collapse was typical White Sox baseball - just like last year
in September when the Sox succumbed to the Minnesota Twins.
It is the White Sox way.
When Kansas City third baseman Joe Randa walked to leadoff the
bottom of the ninth, I immediately called my buddy, who is a huge
Royals fan. And I told him the White Sox were going to blow it.
Sure enough, the White Sox bullpen made a hero out of Royals
utility player Mendy Lopez .
