For the second time in five days, vandals attacked St. Joseph's
Fairview Golf Course, creating extensive damage Wednesday to city and
private property.
Sometime between 11:45 p.m. Tuesday and 3:50 a.m. Wednesday,
vandals took five golf carts and went joy riding around the golf
course, heavily damaging two greens and creating problems at a number
of others, said Cmdr. Jim Connors, a St. Joseph Police Department
spokesman.
Three golf carts were left in a pond.
One of the carts was submerged, two were partially submerged and
the other two were found at another location, Mr. Connors said.
"They had to be here for more than an hour," said Mike Habermehl,
