Article: Vandals hit golf course

For the second time in five days, vandals attacked St. Joseph's Fairview Golf Course, creating extensive damage Wednesday to city and private property.

Sometime between 11:45 p.m. Tuesday and 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, vandals took five golf carts and went joy riding around the golf course, heavily damaging two greens and creating problems at a number of others, said Cmdr. Jim Connors, a St. Joseph Police Department spokesman.

Three golf carts were left in a pond.

One of the carts was submerged, two were partially submerged and the other two were found at another location, Mr. Connors said.
