You know the type - mows each week without fail, crouching over
every inch of property, quixotically watering and fertilizing and,
always, pulling weeds.
"I'm a perfectionist," says Nick Fontana, operator of a new local
lawn-mowing service, Fontana Lawn and Landscaping (he's listed in the
Yellow Pages under a former name, C&S Lawn and Landscape). "It may
take me a little longer, but when you zip through a job you almost
always look back and find that you screwed something up severely
because you were just zzzzt getting it done."
The 24-year-old's meticulous nature has its roots in Nebraska,
where at 8 years old, Mr. Fontana started mowing lawns for his
father's business.
