You hear it all around you - sniff, sniff, honk, sniff.
You may even be a front-row member of the runny nose chorus. But
the sinus symphony isn't really music to your ears.
All you want is for it to go away.
Join the crowd.
Runny noses are as common as the cooler temperatures at this time
of year. We all get them - and there are a variety of reasons why.
The common cold and the flu are two of the main culprits.
"Seasonal allergies can give you a runny nose," adds Dr. Shawn
Griffin, family practice physician in St. Joseph.
Drier air in your home from running the furnace also can cause the
nose to run. A viral infection, head injury, dust and even nasal
