Q. With the wide range of off-the-shelf window treatments now available, why should consumers spend more for custom treatments?

A. You can design a custom treatment to suit the aesthetics of your room in some relatively inexpensive ways. You can have cornices made for an average living room with just a few windows for $100 to $200 a window vs. spending $60 a window for ready-made valences that you may or may not really love.
