Article: Parking lot bid OK'd for law center

The Law Enforcement Center Expansion Committee unanimously voted to accept a $457,598 total bid for parking lot improvements Monday, after a lengthy discussion of ways to lower costs on the project.

Steve Clemens, maintenance manager for the LEC, and Reed Graves, architect on the project, informed the committee of several options to save money, including changing the power feed, fencing and landscaping for the parking lot.

Mr. Clemens said the committee has to decide whether the parking lot needs to be operational before work on the buildings begins.
