Article: Cellulose insulation slows firefighters

Six St. Joseph Fire Department companies responded to a fire at 719 Albermarle St. Wednesday morning and encountered a substance that is hard for them to fight.

The fire happened at 11:40 a.m. and spread to the home's attic, which was filled with cellulose insulation, said Bob Bangerter, the battalion chief on the scene.
