With the kids out of school, the Mid-Continent libraries in Platte
City, Edgerton, Camden Point, Dearborn and Weston have plenty of free
programs to entertain in June.
At the Platte City Branch, 412 Main St.:
On June 5 at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., the Turpentine Creek's Big Cats
will be at the library. Where do big cats go when people try to own
them as pets but figure out it was a bad idea? Turpentine Creek. Come
visit the lucky cats.
On June 15 at 1 p.m., enjoy amazing experiments in "Blow Up the
Librarian." Ideal for kids 6 and older.
On June 22 at 1 p.m., the "Crocodile and Hen Puppet Show" will
entertain as Professor Jeri Deli and the Library Frogs sing and tell
jokes.
