The advisory board for the Buchanan County economic-development
fund approved a total of $337,000 in financial incentives to six
companies in a meeting Wednesday.
The incentives will go to four alternative fuel companies and two
companies looking to expand existing operations.
ICM Inc., is a leading design and engineering firm in the ethanol
industry. ICM, which is based out of Colwich, Kan., became part-
owner of a Lifeline Foods ethanol facility earlier this year.
"They plan to use this as a pilot facility," said Tom Lesnak,
senior vice president of economic development at the St. Joseph Area
