Jim Parsons loves his new floor.

It isn't wood or tile flooring that Mr. Parson and his wife, the owners of Simple Simon's Pizza in St. Joseph, installed at their new business. It's concrete.

The pizza shop already had an old concrete floor, but it's been refurbished with a new coat of style.

"We're sure happy with it," he says.

Concrete is nothing new in home design. It's been serving as driveways, patios, basement floors and pool surrounds for decades. But concrete is inching from the exterior to the interior of many homes.
