Article: Potomac State offering students more options

KEYSER - It's Morning Circle time at Potomac State College. Everyone gathers around Miss Amber, sitting and lying and fidgeting on their mats.

"Are dinosaurs big or small?" Miss Amber asks. "Big," a small voice answers.

"What do dinosaurs eat?" Miss Amber asks. Another small voice answers with certainty: "Brownies."

Welcome to the new Potomac State College. It was founded 101 years ago as a prep school for West Virginia University, and most recently it acted as a two-year junior college for WVU's agriculture program.

But President Mary Rittling has new ideas.
