With six spas within easy walking distance and three times as many
massage therapists as lawyers, the Morgan County town of Berkeley
Springs is well equipped to provide body tone-ups for winter-weary
West Virginians.
The warm mineral springs at West Virginia's spa capital have been
drawing visitors since the 18th century. George Washington was among
the first wave of tourists to take comfort in the springs' soothing
waters, and later became one of the town's first vacation property
owners.
These days, there's a lot more to do in Berkeley Springs than soak
