Spaghetti with butter is kid stuff unless you jazz it up with such
grown-up ingredients as grated fontina cheese, fresh parsley and lots
of chopped garlic.
This is an extremely simple dish to prepare: Cook the spaghetti,
soften the garlic in melted butter and dress with the cheese and
parsley.
Tips
A dish this easy lends itself to many variations. Substitute ripe
brie or Parmesan for the fontina. Replace the parsley with fresh
basil.
Augment the dish with cooked boiled shrimp, leftover chicken,
cooked vegetables, marinated artichoke hearts or pitted olives.
Beverage pairing
A creamy yet crisp white Burgundy, such as a Macon-Fuisse, will
pair well with this dish.
