Only one game took place in division one last Sunday as
Cleethorpes 5ths had to forfeit their game at Barton Town 3rds due to
lack of numbers.
Messingham 3rds got off to a winning start at home to Marshalls
Sports and it was a Marshalls old boy who proved to be Messingham's
batting hero as Matt Snee hit 41 in their total of 160 all out
against the Gainsborough outfit.
Marshalls' Australian player hit a half century in their reply but
they fell 23 runs short with Adam Cook picking up five for 26.
The most exciting game of the day had to be in division two at
Birch Park where Bottesford snatched a one wicket victory over
Scunthorpe 3rds with just two balls to go.
