A report published by the Association of Public Health Observatories reveals just 17.4 per cent of the region's over 18s have a healthy diet.

And the proportion of adults who are obese in North Lincolnshire is 'significantly above the national average'.

The new figures have revealed North Lincolnshire ranks 'significantly worse' than the national average in 11 of 26 health categories examined.

More than a quarter (26.9 per cent) of adults in North Lincolnshire are considered obese. This compares to just 21.8 per cent, or one in five, across England as a whole.
