A Father has sent out a heartfelt message for people to wear
seatbelts after his son, who was not wearing one, was killed in a car
crash.
Christopher Lowrie (21), from Priory Road, Scunthorpe, died when
his car collided with a van on the A1136 Great Coates interchange, in
October last year, an inquest heard.
A post mortem examination concluded Mr Lowrie died from multiple
injuries.
His passenger, 18-year-old Alexander Lock from Immingham, had been
wearing a seatbelt and suffered only a broken arm.
Deputy coroner David Overton, said: "Had Christopher been wearing
a seatbelt, it may have made a difference to the outcome of this
tragic accident."
